General Appearance:
Character is a gentle, obedient and quiet dog, modest home, while hunting however it is active, independent and passionate. Its temperament is moderately lively, expression indicative of calm and balanced nature, the look is gloomy. Its voice is sonorous, moderate to profound.
It excels in immense diligence, it is hardy and persistent. It can distract excellent performance even in the most difficult terrain and climatic conditions. From the track it never leaves. It is mainly used for hunting wild boars, deer, foxes and hares.
Training/Education:
The education is not so simple. Because when hunting it always relies on itself and could not wait for hunter´s instructions , it is suited for extensive autonomy, owner cannot except slavish obedience by this breed. It needs in this direction a little understanding from the owner or trainer.
No hard training methods, it would only disrupt its relationship with the man, which would be a double shame. It requires a certain amount of patience and empathy, benign, however, entirely consistent approach to both education and in training. More than punishment will help stimulate positive voice (praise, encouragement) and material (a treat).
Body:
This is a dog of a rectangular body length can be maximum 10% greater than height at withers. That amounts is from 46 to 58 cm, the ideal is considered male is 52 cm for females 50 cm. Weight of body adult normal condition is between 16 to 24 kg, the desired value is about 20 kg.
The head should be elongated with a strong brow, well proportioned in relation to body length 20-24 cm. Not to be too light. Visible mucous membranes are dark pigmented. Skull should be slightly arched above.
The nose should be large, deep black, with wide open nostrils. Teeth strong, scissor bite is required. Teeth should be complete.
The eyes are large, but not protruding from the eye sockets. The irises are dark. The look is gloomy, expressive eyebrows and thick.
The earlobes are to be suspended, set close to the eye, but rather high (closer to the crown). They are not particularly strong and cover a short hair. Extend toward the centre and close to cheeks. They should be long enough at the ends softer and rounded. If they are stretched forward and achieve if almost to the nose, they are considered very long. For long they are considered when reaching the fangs. Minimally must be at least moderately long and reach the supra-orbital ridges.
Tail should not be attached too high. The root has to be strong towards the end of the tapering and reaching the hock or slightly below. It is carried low, slightly curved upwards.
The chest should be broad and deep, with the lower edge level with the elbows. Its circumference should be roughly about 12-15 cm higher than height at withers. The forelegs have blades oblique, muscular and closely adjacent to the chest. The angle of the scapula-humeral which encloses shoulder joints longitudinal axis of the vane arm (shoulder) of bone, approaching 90 °. Feet should be "cattish" relatively tiny, clenched fingers, padded full and durable, strong nails.
Hindquarters short, broad and muscular thighs, legs oblique, very muscular, longer than the thigh, ankle thick and wide, short insteps and zoo-technical attitude perpendicular to the substrate. If dewclaws they must be removed. Feet are similar forequarters, only more oval shape.
Topcoat must be rough, long 5-10 cm, bristly and dull. It must not be adjacent not curly or wavy. Under the topcoat it is, especially in winter, short and dense undercoat. Topcoat should not be felt and form the cords. The length and density of hair on various body parts is different.
Colouring must be snowy with yellow-orange markings. The earlobes are usually yellow-orange, yellow-can also be sprayed, which is considered purebred character. At the head often appears stain same colour called "Star". Several large orange spots or dots can also occur on the trunk, most often at the root of the tail.
Colourful characters must not be too numerous and widespread and not admissible as to outweigh the basic white colour. Their shade must be clear, not dull, not too bright nor too dark, and definitely should not be liver brown. That would be evidence of interbreeding with other breeds. Any other colour, even in the form of just a few of hair was not admissible.
