Fila Brasileiro Group II. - Pinschers and Schnauzers, Molossoid breeds, Swiss Mountain and Cattle Dogs, Section 2 - Pinscher and Schnauzer-Molossoid, Section 2.1. Molossoid breeds, Mastiff type.

General Appearance:

This is a breed primarily to defend the farms, it is a very little tolerant it hates all the unknown persons. Simultaneously, however, it is fiercely loyal its owners and members of its family, including children. Despite that fact it is primarily a working dog. It is very intelligent.

Temperament/Behaviour:

Dog must be   controllable and reliable friend; it is quite obvious that this breed does not belong in the hands of inexperienced, nervous, unreliable owners who do not have adequate experience in the breeding of similar breeds. These dogs belong only in the hands of people totally reliable and trustworthy, most responsible, which offer guarantees that they will not be abused under any circumstances; It must remember its early and thorough socialization and systematic, consistent training under all circumstances it must be manageable with natural aversion to strangers and tend to act more confrontational to other dogs (aggression against animals against it deems undesirable).

Body:

Due to its origin and "age" it is not surprising that it is still not completely uniform exterior; members of the breed resembles old Brazilian Mastiff type of nineties of the 19th century, part resembles Bulmastiff the twenties of the 20th century  and others are visually close to some old English Bandog; it is desirable that it was quite big, burly dog with  compact body , its height at withers is 63.5 cm (there are more individuals), boned, very muscular and agile, with massive head; the nose is black; hair should be short, adjacent area, its colour is different, preferred fawn  or annealed; may be uniform, or with white markings; the face is usually dark "mask."
